Don't Cry For The Horses
By: Susan Humphrey ~
They were ours as a gift, but never to keep,
As they close their eyes forever to sleep.
Their spirits unbound, On silver wings they fly.
A million white horses, Against the blue sky.
Look up into heaven, You'll see them above.
The horses we lost, The horses we loved.
Manes and tails flowing, As they gallop through time,
They were never yours- they were never mine.
Don't cry for the horses, They'll be back some day.
When our time is gone, They will show us the way.
Do you hear that soft nicker? Close to your ear?
Don't cry for the horses, Love the ones that are here.

Fozzie passed away 2-26-06....We believe due to old age. I will miss you my old friend.....The spitting wars you used to have with Jon, I will laugh about those forever....You and I had a bond....I saw a side of you that no one else did. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
Lil Apache was a darling little 28" stallion
He Sadly crossed over the Rainbow Bridge due to a tragic accident.
He is deeply missed.
Although you were only with us for less than 24 hours you touched our lives with your Beauty. We fought hard for you to survive, your mother never gave up on you, with that soft nicker, she called over and over for you, but God must have needed another Angel in Heaven. We will miss you Sweet Charm.
Years ago as I was getting into the miniatures, I bought this little jennet and her mother together, such a sweet little baby! She was more of a standard size, I was wanting more miniature, but it was love at first site! Unfortunately her and her mother where exposed to the West Nile Virus, we believe prior to purchasing her as we had only had them a few short weeks.......We were able to save Jenny her mother, but sadly we lost Buttercup. That is one little jenny I will never forget. She is what got me started in loving Long Ears.....I will never forget her.
